Rental Terms for QR Wedding Signs
These rental terms apply to the rental of QR wooden signs by GraviCraft.
1. Rental item
Personalized QR wooden signs made of wood, including the QR code and personalization, are rented in accordance with the respective product description.
The rented signs remain the property of GraviCraft throughout the entire rental period.
The customer receives the signs exclusively for use at the specified event.
2. Rental period and return
The rental set is reserved for the event date selected when placing the order.
GraviCraft ships the rental set in good time before the event.
The return must be made no later than within 3 business days after the event.
A return label is included in the package. The return must be complete and securely packaged. Please use the original packaging whenever possible.
3. Deposit
A refundable deposit is charged for each rental set.
The deposit serves as security for:
- Loss of individual or all rental items
- Significant damage
- Breakage
- Missing parts
- Return in heavily soiled condition
- Late return
The deposit is not part of the rental price and will be refunded in full or in part after the rental set has been returned and inspected.
The inspection usually takes place within 7 business days of receipt of the returned items.
4. Normal signs of use
Normal signs of use are included in the rental price and do not result in a deduction from the deposit.
These include in particular:
- Light surface scratches
- Small dents
- Slight discoloration from normal use
- Minor marks on the underside or feet
- Normal marks from setting up, packing, and return shipping
5. Damage and replacement costs
For damage that goes beyond normal signs of use, GraviCraft may withhold reasonable replacement or repair costs from the deposit.
The following in particular constitute significant damage:
- Deep scratches in visible areas
- Breakage or cracks in the wood
- Broken corners
- Heavy stains or wax/drink residue that cannot be removed with reasonable effort
- Damaged or missing QR plaques
- Damaged or missing feet
- Deformations caused by moisture or heat
- Heavy soiling caused by improper use
6. Overview of possible deductions
The following amounts serve as reasonable guidance for replacement, repair, or cleaning costs:
Minor signs of use
No charge.
Heavy soiling
Up to €5.00 per sign if additional cleaning is required.
Deep scratches or visible damage
Up to €10.00 per sign if the sign can continue to be used but must be repaired or refurbished.
Damaged or missing QR plaque
Up to €8.00 per sign.
Damaged or missing stand
Up to €10.00 per sign.
Breakage, severe cracks, or a condition that can no longer be rented out
Up to €15.00 per sign.
Loss of a sign
Up to €15.00 per missing sign.
Loss of the complete set
Retention of the deposit up to the amount of the actual damage incurred.
The customer is expressly permitted to prove that no damage occurred or that the damage is substantially lower than the calculated amount.
GraviCraft reserves the right to prove higher actual damage if it occurred in an individual case.
7. Examples for classification
No charge will be made for:
- small superficial scratches
- minor marks from setup
- normal signs of use on the stand
- minimal packaging marks
A deduction may be made for:
- deep scratches on the front
- broken signs or stands
- missing parts
- heavily soiled or adhesive-covered signs
- damaged QR code
- signs not returned
8. Late return
The return must be made no later than within 3 business days after the event.
In the event of late return, GraviCraft may claim reasonable compensation for use if this means that the set is not available in time for another reservation.
The compensation for use is a maximum of €10.00 per calendar day of delay, but no more than the amount of the deposit paid.
The customer is permitted to prove that no damage occurred or that the damage was substantially lower.
9. Rental set not returned
If the rental set is not returned despite a request to do so, GraviCraft may withhold the deposit in whole or in part.
In addition, GraviCraft may demand compensation for the actual damage incurred insofar as it exceeds the deposit.
Before fully withholding the deposit, the customer will receive a reminder by email with a reasonable deadline for returning the rental set.
10. Personalization and QR Code
Personalization is carried out according to the customer's information.
The customer is responsible for carefully checking the name, date, and gallery link before submitting the order.
GraviCraft is not liable for errors resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.
GraviCraft is also not liable for technical malfunctions of external platforms, gallery providers, cloud services, or links provided by the customer.
11. Use
The QR wooden signs are intended exclusively for use as decoration and as a reference to a photo/video gallery.
The signs must not be:
- used permanently outdoors
- exposed to rain, heavy moisture, or direct heat
- covered with stickers, painted, labeled, or modified
- be opened by force or disassembled
12. Withdrawal and Cancellation
If a statutory right of withdrawal exists, it remains unaffected.
Since the rental signs are personalized individually according to the customer's specifications, the right of withdrawal may be excluded in accordance with statutory provisions once the personalization has been carried out according to the customer's specifications.
Cancellation is free of charge before production begins.
After production begins, costs already incurred for personalization, materials, and preparation may be withheld.
13. Deposit Refund
The deposit will be refunded after the rental set has been returned and inspected.
If there is no damage, loss, or other deduction, the deposit will be refunded in full.
In the event of a partial withholding, the customer will receive a brief notification by email stating the reason and the amount withheld.
